How to sign up for covid vaccine hub?

A vaccine is the best way to protect Covid-19 so everyone gets a vaccine in India. The government launched the CoWix portal for vaccination, Co-WIN application is the digital backbone of the vaccination drive in India. Anyone over the age of 18 can now register for Covid-19 vaccination through the CoWIN platform or the Aarogya Setu app. The COVID-19 vaccine is free in government hospitals, but you must pay for it in private hospitals.

  • Walk-in registration and appointment facility are currently is available for the age group of 60 or more than 60 
  • Appointments for ages 18 to 44 are based on slots made available by the private vaccinations centers as well as the respective state government.
  • The minimum age for each vaccination center is displayed with the name of the vaccination center. Appointment slots are available where the age displayed is 18+.
  • To add multiple individuals in a single Dose 2 appointment, the vaccine and Dose 1 date must be the same.
  • The second dose of COVAXIN should be taken between 28 days to 42 days after the first dose. The second dose of COVISHIELD should be taken between 28 days to 56 days after the first dose.

Documents Required for Registration 

Any of the below-mentioned IDs with a photo may be produced at the time of registration:

  • Aadhaar/ driving license/ voter ID/ PAN card/ passport/ job card/ pension document
  • Health insurance smart cards issued under the scheme of the Ministry of labor
  • Mahatma Gandhi National Rural Employment Guarantee Act (MGNREGA)
  • Official identity cards issued to MPs/MLAs/MLCs
  • Passbooks issued by Bank/Post office
  • Service ID card issued by Central/State govt./ Public Limited Companies. for setting up a vaccination appointment.

How to register for the COVID-19 vaccine ?

Here is how users can get themselves registered for the vaccine using the CoWIN portal and the Aarogya Setu app

Through the CoWIN portal

  1. Visit the CoWIN website and click on Register/Sign in yourself.
  2. Add your mobile number and click on Get OTP. After receiving the OTP, type the digits on the site, and click on ‘Verify’.
  3. Enter all your details, including photo ID proof, name, gender, and year of birth on the ‘Register for Vaccination’ page. Once this is done, hit Register.
  4. After you register, you will get the option to schedule an appointment. Click on ‘Schedule’ next to the name of the person registered.
  5. Add your pin code and click on Search. The center’s in the added pin code will appear.
  6. Select the date and time and click on ‘Confirm’.

It is important to note that users can add up to four members through one login and can easily reschedule an appointment.

Through the Aarogya Setu app

  1. Open the Aarogya Setu app and click on the CoWIN tab present on the home screen.
  2. Select ‘Vaccination Registration’ and then enter your phone number. You will receive an OTP and then you can proceed to verify yourself.
  3. On the ‘Register for Vaccination’ page, enter all details, including photo ID proof, name, gender, and year of birth. Click on ‘Register’.
  4. After you register, you will get the option to schedule an appointment. Click on Schedule next to the name of the person registered.
  5. Add your pin code and click on Search. The centers in the added pin code will appear.
  6. Select the date and time and click on ‘Confirm’.
