Spiritualism

The metaphysical school of thought that rejects physicalism is known as spiritualism, and it encompasses all spiritual viewpoints—both monism and dualism—from antiquity to the present. When not capitalised, Spiritualism (when not lowercase) gained the most notoriety during the long nineteenth century as a social religious movement that held that “the continuity of consciousness after the transition of death” and “the possibility of communication between those living on Earth and those who have made the transition” are among the laws of nature and of God.
