Shri Sheesh Ram receives a Padma Shri award from President Kovind. He is a well-known artist whose works have been shown both in India and abroad. His subjects have included women’s empowerment, Indian warfare, and the history of Indian art.
Who is Shri Sheesh Ram?
Sheesh Ram, a former Indian Army soldier who was born on October 10, 1949, is a painter who specializes in depicting subjects such as racial integration, women’s empowerment, the Indian military, and terrorist attacks in India and elsewhere in the world. After serving in the Indian Army for 40 years, he retired in 2007. While serving in the military and after retiring, he painted a range of subjects, including combat scenes, patriotism, and the sacrifices made by troops. In the Army Art Gallery, several of his paintings are on display.
He also presented a painting exhibition in Dubai. Numerous Army medals were also produced by him. He nevertheless produced the awards used by the Army, Air Force, Navy, and paramilitary services.
