Ms. KV Rabiya
Ms. KV Rabiya, a Divyaang social worker from Malappuram, Kerala, has worked tirelessly for the improvement of other Divyanga despite being polio-affected at the age of 12, diagnosed with cancer, and paralyzed below the neck. The 55-year-old has received the Padma Shri award.
Who is Kariveppil Rabiya ?
Kariveppil Rabiya born in 1966 . She is a physically challenged social worker from Vellilakkadu, Malappuram, Kerala, India, who rose to prominence in the 1990 Kerala State Literacy Campaign in the Malappuram region. Her work was often honored at the national level by the Indian government. She received the National Youth Award in 1994 from the Ministry of Human Resource Development of the Indian government in recognition of her societal services. She received the first Kannagi Sthree Sakthi Puraskar award for the year 1999 in January 2001 in recognition of her commitment to the advancement and empowerment of women.
