Indian environmentalist Basanti Dev
At Rashtrapati Bhavan, President Ram Nath Kovind presented the Padma Shri to Indian environmentalist Basanti Dev. When she accepted the honor, she was dressed simply in a cotton sari and slippers. Who is Basanti Devi ?

He attempted to save the river while residing in the ashram and made a remarkable contribution to environmental protection. She has also contributed significantly to the issue of women’s rights.
