Engineer Dr. Anil K. Rajvanshi, who lives in Phaltan, Maharashtra, India, has spent the last three decades leading the development of technologies that have an impact on the lives of rural people, including electric cycle rickshaws, water purification, effluent treatment using renewable energy, power generation from agricultural waste, and renewable fuel production from agriculture. At the moment, Dr. Rajvanshi is the director and honorary secretary of Phaltan’s Nimbkar Agricultural Research Institute (NARI).
