Tsering Namgyal, a woodcarver from Ladakh, was awarded the Padma Shri by President Ram Nath Kovind. For his artistic achievements, he was given the honor. For the past 40 years, the woodcraft artist has reportedly been “preserving and promoting” the art form and has been honing his craft for “successive generations.”
