Rampuria Haveli

When it comes to travel, Rajasthan is one of the most visited places in India and I am sure most people have visited this part of the country more than once. Rajasthan is one of the finest jewels in India's crown. Forts, chic palaces, colorful festivals, charming traditions, goomar dancing and wildlife encounters, this north Indian state has it all.
Known for its traditions and royalty, Rajasthan has a lot to offer. Everything has its own history, from the streets and fortresses to the large traditional houses popularly known as havelis built centuries ago. One such example of a haveli is the Rampuria haveli of Bikaner.
Known as the pride of Bikaner, Rampuria Haveli is a perfect blend of antiquity, grandeur and sophistication. There are many haveli in Bikaner city, but this one is arguably the most magnificent. The magnificent royal residence was built of red Dharmera sandstone and configured to suit the wealthy lifestyles of the most powerful merchant families, the Rampuria family. According to folklore, the magnificence of the havelis in those days was directly proportional to the wealth of their owners. However, although each of the seven havelis has its own name, they are all collectively referred to as the Rampuria Haveli.

History of Rampuria Haveli
Bikaner Around the 14th century, Barjee Chalva idealized and built his Haveli in rampuria on behalf of the wealthy and influential Bikaner merchants, rampuria. From the Bikaner Junction railway station he was built at a distance of 2 km. This haveli is known for its 400-year-old architectural splendor.
However, descendants of Rampurias no longer live in these mansions, most of them settling abroad. Haveli is now left to caretaker. The family split Rampuria Haveli and inherited the mansion into several पार्ट्स। The villas are divided into smaller houses with independent owners rather than a single owner.

Structure and design of Rampuria Haveli
Havelis are decorated with exquisite handicrafts that were popular in the 15th century. Rampuria Haveli was delicately designed with jharokhas, lattice windows and gumaharias (cellars) that ultimately gave it an exotic look and made it more appealing to visitors. The outer structure is dominated by a jaroja which gives the haveli a very picturesque look. Most of this giant haveli is decorated with goldwork
