Who is  Guru Tulku Rinpoche ?

Guru Tulku Rinpoche

Tulku Rinpoche, a Buddhist monk, was born on October 19, 1968, in Khamkharong, Arunachal Pradesh, to Yab Lobsang Tshering and Yum Pema Choden. He is said to have been identified at the age of five by the 14th Dalai Lama as the reincarnation of the Late Thupten Kelden Rinpoche.

Late Thupten Kelden Rinpoche was the 11th Merag Lama.

The Dalai Lama gave Tenzin Kelden, the traditional haircut of Guru Tulku Rinpoche when he was seven years old during his Kalachakra instruction. When he was nine years old, he was ordained as a novice monk or getshul, and when he was twenty years old, he was ordained as a monk or gelong.

In 1998, Guru Tulku Rinpoche began working for the Dalai Lama. He remained there for eleven years, until 2008 when he was named the abbot of the Tawang monastery. In 2016, he resigned from the role.
