Indian social scientist and political economist Shaibal Gupta, who lived from 1953 to 2021, specialized in studying the Bihar state’s economy. He founded and served as member-secretary of the Asian Development Research Institute in Patna, Bihar. His research assisted in the implementation of numerous state-led societal development initiatives and economic reforms in the state.
