Who is Shri A K C Natarajan ?
Shri A K C Natarajan a clarinetist who performs Carnatic music, was born on March 30, 1931. He was given the Sangeetha Kalanidhi award by the Madras Music Academy in 2008. He received a Sangeet Natak Akademi Award in 1994. He was given the name Nadha Dweepa Kalanidhi by the Nadhadweepam Trust in Tiruchirappalli. He learned vocal music from Alathur Venkatesa Iyer, and nagaswaram from Iluppur Natesa Pillai, the brother of thavil teacher Iluppur Panchami.
