Vidya Vindu Singh was born on  2 July 1945 is an Indian author who writes in Hindi and Awadhi. She is most well-recognized for her extensive work in children’s and folk literature. The Government of India honored Singh with the Padma Shri in 2022 for her work in literature and education.

Over a hundred of her works, including collections of poems, short stories, and Awadhi folk melodies, have been published.

Moreover, she has composed more than twenty folk songs in Awadhi and other local dialects for the Raksha Bandhan holiday. In addition to her literary contributions, she is renowned for her social activities.
